Au début de la troisième année, très précisément le 18 Adar selon la chronologie reconstituée au jour le jour, Jésus passe par Capharnaüm. C'est à ce moment qu'a lieu l'épisode du tribut dû au temple, tel que le relate Matthieu (17, 24-27).<br />

Maria Valtorta pouvait-elle savoir qu'au dire d'éminents spécialistes<ref name="n298">Docteur Sepp, Jésus-Christ Etudes sur sa vie et sa doctrine 1866 p 317 et E. Stapfer, Palestine au temps de Jésus, 1885.</ref> cette didrachme était effectivement perçue en Palestine le 15 du mois d'Adar ?<br />

Comme on peut le constater par ces quelques exemples, les écrits de Maria Valtorta non seulement montrent une parfaite maîtrise de toutes les subtilités des monnaies grecques, romaines et mêmes hébraïques, mais semblent apporter une solution très originale à l'insoluble problème des talents. Et pourtant, la conversion monétaire est bien un sujet où même les plus érudits s'exposent assez facilement à commettre quelques erreurs, comme on peut facilement s'en convaincre à la lecture d'ouvrages des siècles passés.<br />
