Cette brève séquence montre bien comment sont prises en compte les difficultés imprévues. Lorsque Jésus vient à Esdrelon pour tirer le pauvre Jonas des griffes de Doras, le 19 septembre 27, c'est un mourant qu'ils doivent transporter sur son grabat jusqu'à Nazareth. L'étape est courte: à peine 12 à 15 km. Pourtant, partis juste après midi, et bien que passant « le long de la grande route »<sub>109.13</sub> (la célèbre ''via maris'') « le petit cortège arrive à Nazareth, presque déserte à la nuit tombante »<sub>109.15</sub>. Maria Valtorta avait fait cette remarque : « ils ne peuvent aller bien vite avec leur charge pitoyable »<sub>109.13</sub>. Sachant que ce jour là, la nuit tombe à 18h15, ils ont dû marcher durant plus de cinq heures. Soit une moyenne un peu inférieure à 3 km/h, tout à fait crédible dans ces conditions.<br />
